Day 1 : Practice 1 and Practice 2 sessions.

Friday, 23rd March 2012.

Some words on how today went.Earlier in the day, I woke up early around 7am today. Washed my car , took a quick bath , quick breakfast(thanks to my rapunzel) and before I headed to circuit picked up a TSN friend of mine who flew all the way from Abu Dhabi. Was kindda different as normally I’ll be with my Indonesian friends but it was a good experience.

We just arrived at the circuit around 10.30am. Was a bit disappointing that this time around you need to pay RM10 for the carpark and RM50 car park sticker we normally buy doesn’t cover today. The first thing we headed was the ticket booth and collected out tower2 tickets and car park stickers. Then we rushed to the circuit. We we lucky enough to park about 100meters from the circuit gate. But one still needs to walk like 1km to get to the seats at the Mall area depending on what your seats are. Surprisingly qualifying was free and a lot of peeps without tickets took the chance to enter circuit.

In the circuit we straight away headed to in front of the mercedes / ferrari paddock to take some nice shots. Being aware that we won’t have the same change during qualifying and even the race (heck our views at the Tower are way better) .  So we roamed around the Crystal tickets for P1 and the opposite for the P2. We even bumped into James Alan, not once but twice! Was a splendid experience plus getting some inside and face to face output on his opinion on the P1 and P2 qualifying. We manage to get a few spots that enabled us to take some pretty good shots. Me with my handycam and Razz with his Nikon.

Between P1 and P2 we had a quick pitstop for ourselves and headed to sepang small food/restaurants area for our lunch. Food was good and we were energetic for P2. I manage to take some pitstops from the ferrari team. Manage to even take a video where Alonso’s NOSE was replaced. How cool was that. The ferrari’s were not doing as well as I expected. But that’s the thing with practice, from a spectator point of view, no pressure and just enjoy the atmosphere as well the photoshoot opportunities.

After the race we continued our 2nd pitstop at the same area we had our lunch. After about 1hour we headed to the Drivers hotel and come took some pretty good shots with F1 drivers, media guys, as well as the F1 crew and personals. Most of the pictures are on Razz’s camera so I can’t share it here yet. So stay tuned.  After I send my buddy back to his hotel, headed home and arrived about 11.30pm. Took a good shower and before I sleep got on my pc I know this crappy story to you guys…….sorry if I bored you guys! haha..tomorrow onward I’ll share my awesome pictures. Maybe from the paddock? who knows! *fingers crossed. Now I’m freaking sleepy and tired. Got my batteries all on the charger and I’m off to dreamland. Till tomorrow.
