Conspiracy of silence gives thieves a field day
It’s not shocking to say that Malaysia is full with thieves! Name it, sand thieves, illegal logging, people’s funds, white collar crimes and so on. We see this, we know this, but why do we keep silence? I’ve always been into anti illegal logging. In fact dare I say Malaysia should stop logging by all means! The only exception would be expansion of human habitats but I highly doubt that ‘s the current reason for all the logging. RM is everything. I give an example, there are countries in Europe with 0% forest! Imagine in that situation. It’s not like we are holding 100million people like it Java island.
I was about to put an entry on illegal logging in Malaysia before(I’m still planning on ti),but I read today’s sun paper. They surely took the words out of my mouth.
quote “In the case of sand mining and logging surely the enforcers could hear the noise of the tractors, the earth movers and the heavy trucks even if they could not see what was going on initially. Surely as enforcers they would investigate the cause of the din. And what about those living in the vicinity of the activities? Surely they know an illegal operation when they see one. Surely they can see cages of animals on lorries, sand being mined and moved, and the logs being transported out. If they don’t then somehow they are all involved in a conspiracy of silence until someone is given the go-ahead to shout “thief”.” theSun
Make’s me wonder is there really a system? Are people really corrupted? As malay say “Pokok takkan bergoyang kalau angin tak bertiup” which translates “A tree won’t shake if there’s no wind”
